Why Manual Testing
Automated analysis detects many things, but not everything. A machine cannot judge whether the alternative text of an image truly describes it, or whether a title properly summarizes its section. These checks require a human perspective: this is manual testing.
Includdy doesn't leave you alone with these checks. For each element, it pre-analyzes the page and suggests a verdict, which you confirm or correct.
#Accessing manual tests
From a snapshot's results, click on Required Elements in the list on the left: this is the entry point for all manual tests. Once in the panel, the Manual Test selector lets you navigate from one category to another.
#What you can verify today
Six categories are available: Headings, Images, Links and Buttons, Lists, Colors, and Required Elements.
The details of each category are described in Verify Each Category, and how to make a decision in Give a Verdict and Comment.
#Their place in your results
Manual tests complement automated analysis. Your verdicts feed into the manual portion of your compliance, which you can find in the snapshot's thematic graph, under the Manual view.
