Launch a snapshot

A snapshot is an analysis of your website at a specific point in time. Launching one means asking Includdy to examine one or more pages and draw up a list of accessibility issues.

#Opening the snapshot window

In the left menu, open New then New snapshot. The window also opens automatically when you choose Create and go to snapshot when creating a project.

#Setting up the snapshot

The New snapshot window asks for:

  • A name: already pre-filled (Snapshot from … to …), which you can modify. A summary is optional.
  • The project in question, already selected if you're coming from a project.
  • The framework for analysis. By default, All (including best practices). See Choosing a framework.

#Choosing pages to analyze

In the Page URL to scan field, enter the page address (the https:// prefix is already present), then click Add. Add as many pages as needed, one at a time; a single page is enough to start.

To analyze multiple pages of a website at once, use Select from the sitemap: choose the domain, click Extract (up to 60 seconds), check the pages you want, then Add … page(s) to snapshot. The selected pages appear in Pages to scan.

#Launch or save for later

  • Scan … page(s) now launches the analysis immediately.
  • Save and launch later saves the snapshot without launching it, so you can return to it later.

#Tracking the scan

You arrive on the snapshot page. The analysis runs on our servers: you see Scan in progress... and a progress bar, page by page. You can leave the page without interrupting it: the analysis continues, an email notifies you when it's done, and the results are then displayed automatically.
