Aurélie Chasles FALC
Rennes, Bretagne
FALC transcriber based in Rennes since 2018, Aurélie Chasles simplifies texts according to UNAPEI rules and runs training in accessible communication.
Aurélie Chasles has worked as an easy-to-read French (FALC) transcriber in Rennes since 2018. Coming from a communication background, she discovered FALC through work with APAJH44 in 2017, then trained in Paris to validate her skills. She adapts texts for people with intellectual disabilities.
Her work focuses on linguistic simplification and writing method. Layout remains the responsibility of the client organisation or its designer. To permit use of the FALC logo, she systematically has the writing checked and validated by users of sheltered work centres or care homes.
UNAPEI rules guide her writing. Her cultural references include Les Tombées de la Nuit, the Museum of Brittany and TNB National Choreography Centre of Brittany. She has also worked with Le Triangle Festival and Zanzan Films, then with Rennes City Council, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ille-et-Vilaine and Keolis.
