Nums
Bordeaux, Nouvelle-Aquitaine
A graphic and digital design agency established in Bordeaux in 2016, Nums integrates RGAA and WCAG requirements into the production of websites, visual identities and web applications.
Nums is a graphic and digital design company founded in 2016 in Bordeaux. It designs visual identities, interactive devices and applications for museums, institutions and brands.
Deliverables cover contrasted graphic mockups, keyboard-navigable interactive interfaces and semantic web applications. Each project incorporates text alternatives for images and audio media.
The work is based on RGAA and WCAG from the graphic design stage onwards. Development is tested across different browsers and with automated measurement tools such as Lighthouse, supplemented by Greenframe and EcoIndex for environmental impact.
The agency works with Université Bordeaux Montaigne and institutions such as the National Customs Museum, the Museum of Aquitaine and the François Mauriac Centre at Malagar. It also delivered a public awareness campaign for the SNCF's Accessibility and Disabled Travellers Department, mixing gamification, illustrations and animations.
Accessibility services offered
Inclusive design, Accessible development, Audit, Consulting and support
Inclusive design
The agency integrates WCAG and RGAA criteria into graphics, adjusting colour contrasts and planning text alternatives for images. For example, it designed a visual charter for PMJ Courtage intended to remain legible and accessible to all audiences.
Accessible development
Nums programmes bespoke tools with Symfony, Laravel and Vue.js, paying attention to code semantics and keyboard use. Technical checks are carried out with Lighthouse to verify compatibility across browsers, screens and assistive technologies.
Audit
Consultancy and audit services are provided in connection with a network of specialised partners. In-house, the agency assesses compliance with standards for its own deliverables using Lighthouse.
Consulting and support
The team trains clients in good editorial practice and provides a simple administration interface to maintain accessibility over time. It has also run an awareness campaign for the SNCF's Accessibility and Disabled Travellers Department.
