Le Messageur
Rennes, Bretagne
Founded in Rennes in 2012, Le Messageur specializes in accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing people through live subtitling, training and workstation adjustments.
Created in Rennes in 2012, Le Messageur operates nationwide. The organization focuses on accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing people within businesses and public bodies.
For meetings, conferences and multimedia content, the team produces live or recorded subtitles, delivered as embedded or in .srt and .stl file format. It also provides transcriptions in English, French sign language or LfPC code according to needs.
Services are based on remote respeaking technique for live events and apply the guidelines of the ARCOM charter for audiovisual content. The team also carries out workstation assessments.
At Sopra Steria, it adapted a workstation using the Messag'in application and raised awareness among forty colleagues. It delivered the first captioned remote meeting for Rennes Municipal Archives during the 2020 lockdown. The City of Lyon, Ille-et-Vilaine and Alister count among its clients, as do AFMD, Designers Éthiques and the FLUPA association.
