Atipy
Villefranche-Sur-Saone, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Based in Villefranche-sur-Saône since 2013, Atipy addresses accessibility holistically, from built environment design to graphics and digital media.
Founded in 2013 in Villefranche-sur-Saône, Atipy is a company specialising in accessibility and universal design. The enterprise resulted from the 2021 merger of Divercities and Agence Adéquat, two universal design companies that had worked together for ten years. Its scope covers built environment, design and urban planning, as well as mobility.
The team provides technical assessments, accessible graphic standards and complete signage systems. Clients also receive documents written in easy-to-read French (FALC) along with mobility action plans.
In practice, the approach involves users through co-design workshops to adapt built environment and public space improvements.
Its services are aimed at local authorities, healthcare facilities and non-profit organisations. Atipy has notably worked for Brest Métropole, Paris University Hospital Group and Amnesty International France. The team also oversaw signage for Chapieux in Bourg-Saint-Maurice and accessibility improvement plans for national cemeteries.
